How ranking works

This page describes plainly how Bnilik orders artisans and reviews. It is published under EU rules (P2B art. 5, Directive 2005/29 art. 7) and French rules (Consumer Code L111-7); it also applies to Morocco.

1. The artisan directory

  • Artisans “Recommended by Bnilik” (a badge given by our team, never sold) appear first.
  • Then artisans whose documents have been reviewed (“verified”).
  • Then by average rating, then by number of reviews, then in a fixed order.
  • Filters (trade, city) narrow the list without changing this order.

2. Requests offered to artisans

  • A request is offered to artisans who declare the relevant trade and work in the city (or within a reasonable distance).
  • Display order follows the request date; no artisan is favoured.

3. What never counts in the ranking

  • The subscription: a subscribed artisan is not ranked higher (decision D-0133).
  • A payment: no position can be bought today.
  • The number of quotes sent or the revenue.

4. Paid placement

A paid placement exists in the code but is not offered. If it were activated, each profile concerned would carry the label “Sponsored” and the natural ranking would remain displayed.

5. Reviews

  • Only the client of a completed request can rate the artisan they chose: the rule is enforced by the database, not only by the interface.
  • Each review shows its date; reviews are listed from newest to oldest, never sorted by rating.
  • A review is removed only after a report reviewed by our team; the artisan can neither delete nor reorder their reviews.
  • Bnilik writes, buys or imports no review.

6. Report a problem

Does a profile, review or request look illegal or misleading? Report content
